Starting our story in the picturesque Byron Bay as Wolftone, we developed many early prototypes of what would become our signature stomps. At the time not many stomp boxes were commercially available, and while sales grew steadily, we had yet to capture the sound that so many have come to rely on.
Using Wild Dog Stomps
WILD DOG STORY
During the latter part of 2005, we revisited an early pickup idea that required no battery (unlike our Wolftone pickups.) At this time larger stomp boxes were popping up, so we decided to pursue a compact, portable stomp box. Despite the size shrinking the sound was immense, and Bigfoot was born.
At the end of 2015 we were forced to rebrand from Bigfoot, and settled on Wild Dog Stomp paying homage to our early days as Wolftone. The company has continued to develop and expand, creating a large range of both bamboo and solid timber offerings, plus a vast array of Custom Shop stomps. Working with great artists like John Butler and Tash Sultana, our stomps have found homes among some of the top musicians the country has to offer.
